Anti-scar RNA patch maker says it can expand technology to tackle eczema, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles​

RNAscence Biotechnology says its RNA patch technology can broaden its impact beyond scar treatment to tackle a variety of skin issues from eczema to hyperpigmentation and wrinkles.

“This patch is a breakthrough technology. It’s in a category of its own we call active scar care. It’s the only product in the world that targets the root cause of scarring with our proprietary RNA active ingredient,” said Diana Chor, general manager, RNAscence Biotech.

The application of BioRNA Anti-Scar is no different from any common adhesive plaster and is also waterproof, allowing users to go about their day with ease if they wish.

Inoherb eyes overseas growth potential in SEA​

Chinese herbal skin care brand Inoherb is exploring expansion into South East Asia as it anticipates a C-beauty skin care boom.

Inoherb is a Shanghai-based skin care brand that integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) principles into its product formulations.

It is known for combining ancient herbal remedies with modern cosmetic technology and is one of China’s most well-known domestic beauty brands.

In April, the brand officially debuted in Singapore with health and beauty retailer Guardian, making it one of the first C-beauty brands to be available with the chain.

ANUA plans to expand to 120 Boots outlets by October​

South Korean beauty brand ANUA is set to expand its presence in Europe with plans to roll out to 120 UK Boots outlets by October as it works to increase its global footprint.
The K-beauty brand expanded its UK presence with its launch on Boots online last month.

According to the company, its Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Dark Spot Correcting Serum was sold out within a day of the launch.
