I recommend two things to everyone, regardless of age—a retinol product and a neck cream (more on the former later). It’s formulated with the most important anti-aging ingredient of all time, retinol, plus vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, and more. The sum is a wrinkle-smoothing, plumping, skin tone evening serum that makes shoppers (on the brand’s website) look like they’re “aging backward.”

There can’t be a discussion about anti-aging beauty products without a heavy dose of retinol. It’s the only ingredient with anti-aging claims—wrinkle reduction, texture smoothing, pore minimizing—with the FDA’s stamp of approval for proven efficacy. CeraVe’s Skin Renewing Serum combines the hero ingredient with hyaluronic acid and niacinamide. The former provides a boost of hydration that counteracts retinol’s infamous drying effects, and niacinamide boosts the efficacy of the titular ingredient’s dark spot-fading, plumping, and fine line-reducing benefits. A 64-year-old shopper said this “almost immediately…tightened and firmed up my skin.” 

NuFace Trinity+ Microcurrent Facial Device Kit

There’s an overwhelming amount of options in the once scant skin care device market. That being said, if you use just one, it should be a microcurrent one. They are infamously expensive, so nabbing one, like NuFace’s gold standard of a device, is always the move.

This device has long-term collagen-increasing, firming, sculpting, toning, and fine line-reducing benefits thanks to the low-level microcurrents that penetrate beyond the outermost layers of the skin. It has a slew of celebrity fans, including Kate Hudson, who called her results “shocking.”

Shiseido Vital Perfection LiftDefine Radiance Serum

A select handful of Shiseido’s luxe and expensive products are on very rare sale during Prime Day, including this firming serum from the Anne Hathaway-used Vital Perfection line. This addresses three chief aging concerns—loose sagging skin, loss of elasticity, and dullness—via ingredients like watercress, white lily, and a proprietary vitamin C complex. A shopper on the brand’s website wrote, “my skin looks brighter and the wrinkles are softer. In general, younger-looking skin.”
