People, Brands and Partners Doing Acts of Good to Help Communities Grow
4/27/2024
P&G and our family of brands are part of the everyday lives of billions of people around the world. In challenging times or natural disaster, our products are needed even more. That’s why for generations we have been working together with our employees and partners, along with our brands like Always, Crest, Pampers and Tide, to help people in the communities where we live and work meet their daily cleaning, health and hygiene needs even in the toughest times. And this month is no different!
Nominate Someone Doing Good in Your Community!
Starting this National Volunteer Month, P&G is once again partnering with Upworthy to shine a spotlight on Acts of Good that are making a real difference in lives every day. Know someone making a positive impact in your community? Nominate and help give them the chance to receive a $1,000 donation for a non-profit organization of their choice.
Fill out the Acts of Good Awards nomination form before June 3, 2024.

Caring for Our Neighbors
It’s just like a family coming home.
In Alexandria, Louisiana, where we produce many of our trusted laundry products like Tide and Gain, two P&G employees, Brandon and Mike, share a passion for serving the community they grew up in. Through their volunteer work with P&G’s Native American Employee Network (NAN) and Veterans and Reservists Affinity Employee Network (VRAN), they often work together to give back to their local community.
In one especially inspiring effort, Brandon, Mike and their volunteer groups helped clean and restore the home of a 95-year-old resident — Mrs. Morace — who used to work in Brandon’s school cafeteria and now lives on the same street as him!

In this short film by our partners at Katie Couric Media, Mrs. Morace discuses what the clean-up effort means to her. The film also shares additional information on how P&G employees like Mike and Brandon are continuing Alexandria’s long-standing tradition of treating neighbors like family.
Lending a Helping Hand
In rural communities like Tabler Station, West Virginia, unique challenges are faced with remarkable resilience. Since 2018, P&G’s Tabler Station site, which produces products like Dawn, Swiffer and Head & Sholders, has been proud to employ, serve and support many people in this close-knit community. Our employees at Tabler Station also share a long-standing passion for helping the communities where they work and live.
Teaming up with local volunteers from organizations like Lifted Hands Food Pantry and United Way’s Eastern Panhandle Branch, Emma and her colleague Gloria, with P&G support, have helped provide vital assistance and essential products to families in times of need — in some of the hardest to reach areas. This includes working with Lifted Hands to provide a tractor trailer filled with donated P&G products and popular drive-thru style distributions each month that help ensure health, household and hygiene essentials like Always, Dawn, Pampers and Tide are delivered directly to local families who need them most.
See Emma and Gloria shine a light on how Acts of Good help families and communities like Tabler Station to grow and learn more about the P&G brand product donations by Crest and Oral B, Secret, Swiffer and Vicks the community trusts to keep their homes and families clean and healthy.
Stepping Up When Disasters Happen
In times of natural disasters, our brands are uniquely positioned to help people take care of their personal health and hygiene needs by offering free essential products. Since 2005, P&G, in partnership with Matthew 25: Ministries, a leading global disaster and humanitarian relief organization, has distributed free personal care kits and cleaning products in areas impacted by disaster to ensure people have access to everyday necessities they rely on like deodorant, period care products, soap, shampoo, and toothpaste.
Personal care kits contain products from P&G brands such as Always, Crest, Ivory, Gillette, Head & Shoulders, Olay, Old Spice, Oral-B, Pampers, Pantene, Safeguard, Secret, Tampax, Tide and Venus. Cleaning product brands include Bounty, Charmin, Dawn, Febreze, Mr. Clean, Swiffer, Tide and Zevo.

In 2023, P&G and Tide partnered with Walmart to expand the U.S. Disaster Relief Program, adding two shower trailers and another Tide Loads of Hope vehicle to increase the program’s impact by providing more families with essential access to health and hygiene products and services from brands like Olay, Old Spice, and Pantene.
P&G also partners with national and international disaster relief organizations such as Americares, GlobalMedic, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, Save the Children and others to support people and communities during unexpected challenges.
